About The Family Institute
The Family Institute of Cambridge (FIC) is a renowned and respected educational resource for psychologists, social workers, marriage and family therapists, mental health counselors, and others working to help families in need. By developing and disseminating the most effective practices for therapy and consultation, we contribute-in a way that is real and measurable-to the well-being of individuals, families, and their communities. Our work is firmly rooted in our core values of mutual respect, collaboration, and social justice.FIC offers year-long post-graduate programs, as well as workshops and conferences, in family, couple, and narrative therapy, and women's group process. Continuing education credits are available for participants. Our HistoryThe Family Institute of Cambridge was founded in 1974 in an effort to enhance the lives of families by training clinicians to use family therapy techniques effectively in their practices. Since that time the Institute has trained thousands of clinicians to apply cutting edge techniques in family therapy, couple therapy, group therapy, narrative therapy, psychodrama and much more.
